New Regulations Will Make It Easier To Fill In Wetlands
Home builders will have to give wetlands more space and penalties will rise for developers who delay repairs to the swampy ecosystems, New Jersey officials said Friday. At the same time, the controversial regulations announced Friday will make it easier to fill in wetlands for a host of other projects the state considers minor or essential, from extending driveways to stringing power lines to closing landfills.
